Why OnTech

Launching a lender shouldn't cost a fortune.

We built OnTech after running into the same problems in every new market. The platform keeps only what scales and what borrowers value, and automates the rest.

The usual problemHow OnTech handles it

High cost of launching in a new country

A new country needs only language and legal localisation

Expensive HQ and local offices

Full automation and low-cost support, with no manual underwriting team

Platforms overloaded with features

Only the processes needed to scale and the ones customers value

No room to experiment with the product

Amounts, rates, discounts and A/B tests are configured in the risk engine

Every change to the loan platform is costly

Modular services and your own source code, so changes stay small and cheap

Platform

Everything a PDL lender runs on.

One platform covers the borrower's path from the first visit to the final repayment. Each module is adapted to your loan product, your regulator's rules and the providers you work with locally.

Proving ground

Field-tested in Sri Lanka.

  • Fast market entry.A simple path to launch made Sri Lanka the right place to test the platform and tune its costs.
  • Low average loan size.Mass lending can be debugged without large capital at risk.
  • Lean by necessity.Thin margins forced savings on HQ, offices and support, and those savings are built into the platform.
Ownership

You own the platform you run.

Most lending software is rented. OnTech is delivered: after launch, your team or any contractor can change the platform without waiting for a vendor roadmap.

Team

Built by people who launch lenders.

Engineering and delivery are led by people who have taken lending and banking products to new markets. Risk, product and engineering work as one team, so the platform reflects how a lender actually operates.

FAQ

Questions lenders ask first.

How long does a launch take?

Once requirements are agreed, the MVP is built in up to 3 months. Acceptance takes 10 business days, followed by pilot loans and the production launch.

Do we really get the source code?

Yes. After acceptance and payment we transfer the code and the cloud account. You receive a perpetual, worldwide licence to use and modify the platform for your lending business.

Where is the platform hosted?

In a dedicated cloud account set up for your project. We run it during development and transfer the account to you at handover.

Can you connect our local providers?

Yes. KYC services, credit bureaus, payment gateways and SMS providers are part of the adaptation. We ask for the providers' documentation and test access about a month before the MVP is presented.

What happens after launch?

Two months of warranty support covers defects. New features and the autodialer stage are delivered under the same agreement or at an agreed hourly rate.
